Hi y'all, I'm back! I have been super busy with classes starting back up and settling into college life again. Omg! I can't believe it's my third year, time has gone by so fast. I documented the outfits I wore for the first week of school. Check them out!

MONDAY
I love the juxtaposition of the ripped jeans with the feminine florals on top.

We had our first club meeting, so we wore our IFS T-shirts to promote.
IFS stands for International Fashion Society

This utility vest is so cute! I love it paired with this striped long sleeve. Can't go wrong with stripes, they will never go out of style!

I have been seeing these suede button- down skirts everyone! I had to get one for myself and these lace- up sandals are to die for!

Tiger Mama In Boston

Tiger Mama is Southeast Asian inspired and it is served family style. The food comes out when it's ready so you will either get one dish at a time or if the dishes are ready at the same time they will come out at once. We were a party of five and ordered nine different dishes including dessert as a group to share. We were full for the rest of the night so we should of just ordered seven dishes instead.

Our first dish was...

Lobster Fresh Rolls - charred lobster, bright veggies, spicy silky peanut dipping sauce.
I didn't enjoy these, it tasted like an earthy spring roll and the wrap part was very chewy.

After that we got three dishes at the same time. 

Top left: Bone Marrow with coconut sticky rice, onions and greens. This had great flavor with the sweet coconut rice.  Loved this dish!

Top right: Fresh tomato salad with a poached egg and greens. The tomato salad was fresh and light, good for an in between dish. 

Bottom: Issan–Style Sausage - lemongrass, kaffir & garlic sausage, banana ketchup.
I didn't have the sausage but my family said it was very spicy. 

Next we got...

SP Mini Chicken - marinated & char-grilled hen, spicy ginger-tamarind sauce.

This chicken was a little disappointing for me it was very hard to eat with the bone and was a little spicy.

Our sixth dish was Crab Fried Rice - jumbo lump crab, egg, scallion.

This was one of my favorite dishes! When they say jumbo lump crab that is what you got, huge pieces of crab. Even the bowl had a painted crab on the inside. 

After that we got Short Rib Rending - rich coconut malaysian style curry, crispy peanuts, toasted coconut.

This was the best short rib I have ever had! It melted in my mouth, I didn't even need to chew it! You don't expect it to be sweet but it comes from the coconut curry, delicious! 

Last dish before dessert was Pig Rice - bacon, house tasso, issan sausage, pork sung.

The best way to describe this is that its looks like cotton candy. The pig is so thin and airy its taste like you are eating cotton candy but it is pig! And it sits on top of a bowl of rice.  

To end the amazing dinner we had, they brought out sweet bread with caramelized sugar and mangos.

My family got to it before I could take a picture but this bread was sooo good!! 

It almost tasted like a sweet pretzel because it was harder on the edges and soft in the middle with a little salt. The mangos were a good balance to the bread.

Day Three in Baltimore

July 4, 2016: Was a relaxing day because almost the whole day it rained so we got stuck going under the boat for shelter! We had a good time though we made mini pizzas on the grill and played cards for hours on end.

Lucky, the rain stopped just in time for the fireworks so we were able to get outside and watch them!

If you noticed this whole weekend I wore stripes and I didn't even plan it! I just love buying striped clothing hahah!

The next day, we woke up, packed up the car and drove all day. 

Over all, despite the rainy weather my Fourth of July weekend was so fun!

I am so grateful I have such great family for inviting us to spend time with them on their boat!

Day Two in Baltimore

July 3, 2016: Today, we walked over to Fell's Point to shop around and get some lunch. We found a place right on the water that was called Barcocina. The grilled lemon fish tacos were delicious but our waitress was very unfriendly and it took a long time to get our food!

We walked around a little more after lunch then we found a gelato shop called Pitango.

I have to say I prefer gelato more than ice cream now!

Loved this place but, just a warning it was a little pricey.

My sister's on the left was hazelnut and vanilla chocolate chip flavor

Mine on the right was cafe expresso and vanilla chocolate chip flavor

When we got back we went for another boat ride on my uncle's boat and just grilled for dinner. We started playing head's up (the app) later on in the night and by the end of it we all were just screaming clues at each other! It was hilarious!!

Day One in Balitmore

July 2, 2016: We drove about six hours to get to the city of Baltimore, Maryland to see some 

family for Fourth of July weekend. Once we got there we had bought tickets to get a tour of the

Oriole's Ballpark. It was very interesting to hear about the history of how it was built and we

even got to go on the field and sit in the dugout! But, we couldn't touch or step on the grass

 they kept it in very good condition.

After the tour, we meet up with family to go out to dinner at Amicci's in Little Italy. 

The Pane' Rotundo for an appetizer was very good. So creamy!

For dessert, we went across the street to Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop to get some coffee and

cannolis. The cannnoli was one of the best ones I have had but, the shop is so small that we

had to wait a long time to get them!

We ended the night with a boat ride over looking the Inner Harbor.

Little Vaca In Jersey

This past Monday my roommate, Nikki and I went down to visit our other roommate, Erin in New Jersey for a mini vacation. We went for two nights and drove back in the afternoon on Wednesday. 

On Monday, Erin showed us around her town she grew up in. Where she went to school and all her favorite spots. Her mother made us an awesome home cooked meal and we just caught up with what is going on in our summer lives. For me, all I do is work, work, work (haha)! Later that night Nikki and I got to meet Erin's high school girlfriends and we all hung out together. 

On Tuesday, we took a trip to Bradley Beach for a relaxing beach day. It was the perfect day it wasn't too hot and there was a nice wind blowing! One of those days where you can't tell if you are burning or not. Don't worry none of us got burnt, we were careful. The girl that was near us wasn't, by the time we left her whole body was as red as a lobster!

Before we went back to the house we grabbed some dinner at a local Mexican/ Hawaiian restaurant called FINS. It was so good, highly recommend trying it if you are around the area. I got the crab tacos with chips and salsa. Also, I ordered the Lulu's Crazy Kick Out smoothie! 

On Wednesday, we slept in a little bit, packed up the car and before we got back on the road we stopped for breakfast at Bagels 4 U. Another great place in New Jersey, I got the cinnamon burst bagel with a vanilla chi tea latte. 

Over all, I had an amazing trip so glad I got to see my roommates from college! I miss them so much, you don't realize it until you are back home doing our own thing and don't see them 24/7. 

Hope I gave you some new food places to try if you plan on traveling to New Jersey or you live close!

Night of Beyonce

On June 3, 2016 my sister and I went to the Beyonce concert at Gillette Stadium. It's safe to stay that my emotions came over me when she came out onto the stage. My mouth was open the whole night in awe on her beautiful and her voice was even better live. I teared up for the opening song because I was so excited to be there. Everyone needs to see her in concert at some point in their life. From fire to a huge spinning box to dancing in water she had it all to make an amazing performance.

OOTD: Easter Day

Hello everyone, today I will be showing you the outfit I wore yesterday for Easter. I also got my siblings to be in the post so you will be seeing their outfits as well! 

For my outfit, I paired this high-neck tank top dress with a light pink blazer to bring out the pink that's in the dress. Kept it simple with some nude heels and three-layer necklace. 

For my brother's outfit, he paired a grey sweater over a button-down gingham blue and white shirt with some khaki pants. Accessorized with a Fossil watch and Polo boat shoes.

For my sister's outfit, she paired a floral maxi dress with a jean jacket and brown sandals.

Tips For Planing An Event

At my college, I'm in this fashion club called, International Fashion Society. Every year, we hosted a fashion show and all the proceeds go to charity. This year, our show was March 11, 2016 and I was the Fashion Show Coordinator, which means I planned the whole show! Planning an event is very stressed and time consuming! Here are some tips I learned that helped me through the process that could help you for your next event!

1. Stay Organized: Keep a binder for all the receipts, contacts and papers that you consume. Also, have a folder on your flash drive for all the documents you make.

2. Make a Timeline: Before you start anything, plan out what you have to get done right away and things you can wait to do later. 

3. Keep in Contact: Keep in touch with everyone you hire for your event. If the time or day for the event changes, you will need to contact them and see if they are able to still come. Also, they might cancel on you so; you will need time to find a replacement. 

4. Make Lists: Lists really helped me! I had a list for everything; I had one for what we had and what we needed. I had one for everything that needed to be done the day of the show, one for everyone's job, etc. 

5. Don't Bark Orders: If you yell or be mean to people they will not want to help you. For my event, a lot of people were volunteers so, I was very grateful they were there and wanted to help with the event. A "please and thank you" goes a long way!

6. You Can't Do Everything: You almost always have a team to help you. Give everyone a job because you can't do it all. If you do, you will pull your hair out and lose your mind! Trust me, if you divide up the work it will get done faster and make your life less stressful. 

Our fashion show last Friday went great and I'm so proud of it! Our theme for the show was whimsical, bohemian and dreamy. Our charities were the Ethan Henry Lecours Foundation and a trust fund set up for the daughter of a Johnson & Wales Marketing Professor, Susan Cox, who in 2012 passed away from her second battle with breast cancer.
