Etsy Bubble Necklace :)

I got this necklace off of Etsy and I love it!!! Its called a bubble necklace just wanted to show you :) Etsy is great I didn't have any problems ordering it or getting it. It did take a week and half but it was coming from China so it could of took longer. It was $13.60 and then shipping was $6 so $19.60 for a necklace like this is very cheap. I have see them at $40- $50 so I would check Etsy to see if you can get it cheaper.

DIY: Minnie Mouse Halloween Costume!

Halloween is coming up very fast and I wanted to show you guys what I was being. I think it came out really good.

What you will need to be Minnie Mouse is:

1) A red and white polka dot dress
This one is from Forever 21

2) Ears with a bow
I just brought these at a Halloween store
and then I hot glued a bow on it.

To make the bow I cut one red ribbon nine and half inches long than the other one two inches long.

Then glue both sides of the long ribbon to the middle of it

Just glue the short piece around the middle to make a bow

And glue it to your ears!

3) Next you will need black tights for her black legs

 4) Finally you need yellow shoes with red bows, which I made myself

So I found these flats at Marshell's for $11 and than I just pulled off the bows

First tape the whole bottom and put newpaper in the shoes so none of the paint gets inside or on the bottom

Spray paint them yellow, I use spary paint for wood and metal but didn't realize you can't use it on leather because all the paint will just cracked off so, use leather spary paint or just regular paint.

I did 3 coats and a thick coat of clear spary paint and it still cracked off. But I still wore them because it made the outfit.

To the make the bows for the shoes its the same as how I made it for the ears but the cutting measurements are smaller. Cut one red ribbon six inches and the other one two inches.

Then just hot glue them on the shoes when the paint is dry

5) Add some fake eyelashes and a black round nose

Put it all together and your Minnie Mouse!

I would love to know what you are being for Halloween

Coco Chanel

Coco Chanel was and is a fashion icon. She created a whole empire from the ground up. She never followed the trends and that how her business is still going today. Coco Chanel invented the "little black dress", the suit for women and the famous Chanel bag. She is amazing and always said great quotes. Here are some of my favorites:

This one is my all time favorite :)
Have fun with your outfits, and don't have any regrets

DIY: Turn a plain T-shit into a cute tank top :)

I turned a boring, plain, white T-shirt I got at walmart into a cute, colorful, tank top!
First you want to mark where you want to cut. Use a rule and a pencil and make each side the same.
Than you want to start cutting the neck line off

Cut straight across the back of the neck line

Now start cutting one sleeve at a time though both sides

Then take that sleeve you just cut off and flip it over to the other side so you have even sides and cut the other sleeve off

Now you have a tank top!
Now we are going to make a little pocket, so take one of the sleeves you have, cut it so its one long strip than mark a pocket like so:

And cut it out:

Than iron over all the sides so its a clean edge

Than try on your tank top and see where you want the pocket to go, mark it, and super glue it on (I would sew it on but I don't have a sewing machine *sad face* )

Alright half way there haha! Let the glue dry than try on your shirt again and see how you like it. I thought the sleeves were too open so I pinned where I wanted it, took it off and hand sewed it up and down. Than I just cut off the bottom seam off. And it looks like this:

So you can see I'm outside now. Yes! We are dying the tank :)
So what you will need is whatever kind of dye and whatever color you like. I have rit dye in petal pink, teal and purple. Then you want to follow the instructions on the box.

Now that you have all the supplies you are going to mix in each dye color into each bin of hot water.
Once you did that, you are going to dye the first half of the shirt in the blue dye. I dip right to the where the pocket ended.

Then your going leave it there until your desired color. Squeeze it out, leave the next part white then dip the rest in pink dye.

Squeeze it out and dip the end part in the purple dye.

Squeeze that part out and let it dry over night. Rise it with the hose, let it dye again, and your done!

As you can see each part is not even and not staright but its all a learning progess. Next time I think I'm going to put elastics on each part I want a different color. Plus if you saw the super glue doesn't dye so it stayed white so I would sew that pocket on.

Now you won't make my mistakes cause you saw what I did.

Hope you enjoyed and try it out for yourself :)
