This past week I
worked as an intern at StyleWeek. StyleWeek is the Northeast’s fashion week
that will help up and coming designers to connect with the community, buyers
and press in the industry.
I loved being
part of the StyleWeek team I was honored that they picked me to be one of their
interns.
I was part of the
front of house interns, which consists of checking everyone in, finding what seat
they are and putting their waistband on. It was pretty cool because after the first two
days we started to remember the people’s names that came everyday. My favorite
part was seeing what all of the guests were wearing. Some went for a classic
look while others went all out for a more extreme look.
After everyone was
signed up we were able to go over and watch all of the shows. It was a great
experience because some nights we were able to fill in the empty front row
seats and watch from the seats instead of standing in the back. This was my first
real fashion show experience and I loved every second of it. There were some
designers that I loved and wished that I had the money to go out and buy all
there clothes. Than there were some designers that just weren’t my taste. The
designers I loved were Carissa Lynn Designs, Clothes Horse Clothing by Elden XO
and Stetkiewicz by Amy Stetkiewicz.
Over all, I had a
super busy and stressful week but it was worth it because I meet so many
amazing people and made some great connections with the StyleWeek staff!
